PROJECTS

Bathroom Renovations Vital
Two bathrooms serve 20 girls and 23 boys at the orphanage. Both bathrooms need serious renovation. This sink in the boys bathroom isn't even hooked up.

Renovations Desperately Needed
The shower in the boys bathroom is dingy and stained, despite rigorous cleaning efforts. Twenty-three boys share this one shower.

Dishes and Utensils Needed
The orphanage is in need of dishes and utensils for the children to use during meals. If you look closely, you will see the only dishes they have are in the cabinet, only about 20 metal plates for 43 children and six adults. Latches are also needed for the cabinets to keep the children safe.

Window Panes Missing
It is currently the rainy season in Zambia, but several of the windows at the orphanage are missing panes. Funds are needed to replace the missing glass. This photo was taken just outside one of the bunkrooms.

Propane Stove Needed
Electricity is cut off at residences during the day in Zambia to allow the businesses to operate. The orphanage needs a propane stove because charcoal is much more expensive in Zambia than gas. This electric stove also doesn't work.

Ceiling Repairs Needed
The ceilings are severely damaged and need repair at the orphanage. During the rainy season in Zambia, this creates extremely tough conditions. This photo was taken in the boys' bunkroom.
